Condition of document:
Bifolium slightly damaged. The two pages are not consecutive. The trimming of the borders caused loss of contents in the lower margin. Dirty stains and damp patches. Dry-point ruled guide lines clearly visible on both sides. Sewing-holes along the central fold.
Page layout:
Size: 404-418 x 293-300 mm. Text area: one column c. 290 x c. 165 mm. Text lines: 36, some with musical notation.

Decoration:
Plain initials in red, one in blue. Display script in red. Text and notation in black. Aquitanian notation on dry-point line.
Inscriptions and marks:
A modern hand wrote "50" in red ink on the left upper corner fol. Ar. Immediately above this inscription another hand wrote two big "S" and "P". On the right upper corner of the same page a modern hand wrote "279 n° 9" in blue ink.
Remarks:
P. Avelino de Jesus da Costa referes to this fragment as: "Caixa 279, 134 – Número 9 – Tombo de Salvador de Padreiro, 1548" (Salvador de Padreiro is located 40 km north of Braga). However, there are no visible traces on the fragment (e.g. later hand inscriptions or library stickers) to justify this attribution.
